Effective September 15, 2026

PRIVACY POLICY

Effective Date: September 15, 2026

HiveScan™ is a product of HiveWorks AI.

HiveWorks AI ("HiveWorks AI," "HiveScan," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, processed, and protected when you visit HiveScan, submit a website for analysis, request a HiveReport™, contact us, or otherwise use our services.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us

Depending on how you use HiveScan, you may provide information such as:

  • A website URL submitted for analysis
  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Information submitted through contact forms
  • Information associated with a HiveReport™ request or purchase
  • Communications you send to us

Website analysis information

When you submit a website to HiveScan, our systems may access publicly available information from that website in order to perform the requested analysis.

This may include publicly accessible website content and technical signals such as page titles, headings, metadata, links, page structure, calls to action, contact or trust signals, and other information relevant to the HiveScan analysis.

HiveScan is intended to analyze publicly accessible websites. It is not intended to access private, password-protected, internal, or restricted systems.

Automatically collected information

When you visit HiveScan, certain technical information may be collected automatically by our website hosting, security, analytics, or infrastructure providers. This may include information such as:

  • IP address
  • Browser and device type
  • Operating system
  • Referring pages
  • Pages visited
  • Approximate location derived from IP address
  • Date and time of access
  • Basic usage and diagnostic information

2. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

  • Provide and operate HiveScan
  • Analyze websites submitted by users
  • Generate website scores, findings, recommendations, and HiveReports™
  • Deliver requested reports or services
  • Respond to questions and support requests
  • Process and administer purchases
  • Maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve HiveScan
  • Understand how visitors use our website
  • Prevent fraud, misuse, abuse, and security threats
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not use submitted website information to fabricate analysis. HiveScan is designed to base its website intelligence on information and signals that our systems can actually observe or measure.

3. Submitted Website URLs

By submitting a website URL to HiveScan, you are asking our systems to access and analyze publicly available information associated with that website.

Website URLs and resulting analysis data may be temporarily processed as necessary to perform the scan, generate results, maintain security, troubleshoot problems, and improve the reliability of the service.

We do not intentionally use HiveScan to bypass authentication, access private networks, or retrieve content that is not publicly accessible.

4. Mobile Performance Testing

When mobile performance testing is enabled for a scan, HiveScan sends the public URL of the website you submitted to Google PageSpeed Insights, a third-party service, so that a simulated mobile loading test can be run on that page.

The page URL is the only website information we send for this test. Google processes it under its own terms and privacy policy. The mobile performance result is shown separately from your HiveScore and does not change it.

5. Payments

If you purchase a paid HiveReport™ or another HiveScan service, payment information may be processed by a third-party payment provider.

HiveWorks AI does not need to receive or store your complete payment-card information when payment information is handled directly by the applicable payment provider.

Payment providers may process your information according to their own privacy policies and terms.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

HiveScan and the services used to operate it may use cookies or similar technologies for essential website functionality, security, analytics, preferences, or performance.

The technologies used may change as HiveScan develops. Where required by applicable law, we will provide appropriate choices or consent mechanisms for non-essential technologies.

7. How We Share Information

We may share information with service providers that help us operate HiveScan, such as providers supporting:

  • Website hosting and infrastructure
  • Website analysis and processing
  • Website performance testing (Google PageSpeed Insights)
  • Security and fraud prevention
  • Analytics
  • Email or communications
  • Payment processing
  • Technical operations

These providers may process information on our behalf or under their own applicable terms and privacy policies.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our rights, investigate abuse or security incidents, or protect HiveWorks AI, our users, or others.

We do not sell personal information for money.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information and service-related data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing services, maintaining business and transaction records, resolving disputes, improving service reliability, preventing abuse, and complying with legal obligations.

Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information and why it was collected.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information handled through HiveScan.

However, no website, network, storage system, or method of electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide rights regarding your personal information, which may include rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about how your personal information is processed.

You may contact us through the contact methods provided on the HiveScan website to make a privacy-related request.

We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

11. Third-Party Websites

HiveScan may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security, or content of third-party websites or services. Their own privacy policies and terms apply when you use them.

12. Children's Privacy

HiveScan is intended for business and general adult use and is not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information has been collected inappropriately, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as HiveScan develops or as our legal, technical, or business practices change.

When we make material changes, we will update the effective date shown at the top of this policy and provide additional notice when appropriate.
